The prototype of this work is the acinaces swords coated with gold plates 1000 BC.
The hilt and sheath have a two-way decoration. The basis of the composition is the Scythian animal style, anthropomorphous images, mystical signs, the ornament “moving wave”, specific for that time and changed by the author in a peculiar way. The background is designed with the diamond moiré. The hilt of the sword, the cross and the head are in the form of leopard. The cross of the hilt enters the sheath with a wide mouth. The mouth is decorated with the traditional composition of “World Tree” on the both sides of which there are a Scythian and an Amazon with the rhytons in the hands. On the plane of the sheath there are a dragon, a goat, a lion, a deer, a panther, the Taurus and another mirror “World Tree”. The sheath is ended with the buterol with the sculpture of a sitting leopard.
The mark of the author is on the curl of panther’s tail (a hanging vane) and on the back side of the hilt cross.
